205 or 215?
Alex,
My comparison was between a 215/45/17 and a 215/40/17 - 24.6 and 23.8 respectively.
I understand that air pressure affects load ratings; I wasn't clear, but by pointing out the relatively small 'posted' load differences, I was hoping that the reader might indeed understand that a little extra air...perhaps hot air...will bring the load ratings within a suitable range for the Mini.

As discussed in previos posts load ratings are subjective and vary from manufactures. In that post I explained I calulate load from internal volume. If you run 36 LBS in 215/40 it will meet Mini's GVAW

BTW, the BF Goodrich g-Force Sport's are sweet riding tires in 215/45/17.
They fit just fine, look good, and ride great!
Grippy, smooth and quiet.
