Will 205/55 16's fit without any problems on a MC (non-S) with the standard springs/suspension?

Looking to replace my 16" Daytona's & Goodyear Eagle Funflats with 16" SSRs and these tires:

Problem is that the smallest they come in on 16" tires is 205/55.

Should be no problem. The stock diameter of the runflat is 620.9mm and you are replacing with 531.9mm ( about 7/16&quot or a 1.8% increase. The rule of thumb is + or - 3% without any problems.

Since your going a little taller your spedometer will be a little closer to correct also.

Thanks! So, anyone know if this will still look and handle OK (going to a "slightly" taller tire, but much better one?).

So - do you mean the speedo will be faster than actual or slower than actual? I'm thinking slower (less hub revs per mile) which would potentially mean slower to rack up miles on the odometer too!

These tires look awesome - the reviews by the customers rave about them too - rated best tire I could find on the Tire Rack site.

205/55 Firestone revoves 837 revs per mile. Your average 205/45/17 has between 850-865 revs per mile. Your odometer with read slower than your traveling.

The speedo will be slower than actual but with stock tires it is faster than actual so with the change in tires it will register closer to actual speed.

Is that as confusing as it sounds.
