Team Dynamics Pro Race 1

I think I will be going with the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 in 17 x 7, and was wondering what tire sizes to go for? I have H Sport Springs on my 2004 MCS, so, should I go for 205/45/17 or 215/40/17? Obviously, I want to avoid any rubbing.

Thanks!

Robin.

I have the 205/40/17 w/ stock spings. I have no tire rubbing issue. But the lower sidewall has dropped my car about .75" +/– an eighth. Just something to keep in mind

205/40 is a tad short. 215/40 is the shortest I'd go - with 36 psi behind it.

Hi Alex,

Someone mentioned to me 215/45/17 last night. Is that a more viable option?

Thanks,

Robin.

Only if you care about staying with the stock diameter. Some people would consider a smaller diameter a good thing - myself being one of them.

From a rubbing standpoint, a 205 is less likely to rub than a 215. A 40 profile is less likely to rub than a 45 (given the same suspension settings).

You should be fine regardless though.

To get the best handling out of a the tire, I would not go wider then a 205 on a 7" rim . 40 will ride quite a bit firmer then 45. Both options, 205-40, 215-45 should not rub at stock height. Always a possibility that a 215 will rub when lowered.

I'd stay away from team dynamics myself as they are impossible to communicate with.
