Will 19x8's fit on a Cooper S?

Looking at some 19x8's. Plan on lowering the MCS when I get it. Will these's rub?

Doubt it, I think that you can squeeze 18's and still lower, but I think 19s would be pushing it

19's is pushing it....

I heard of a company that can put 19's on the mini, but it takes some modifications and I doubt it can be lowered and NOT rub...

8 inches wide is pretty much filling the width of the well...
consider steering etc... plus you may lose the capability of a high speed turn.

Hmm, what are the disadvantages of widening the wheel well? Would a wide body kit have sufficient space to put 19x8's? Besides that one ugly *** widebody kit, are the any others on the market yet? Thanks.
