Rotate and mix tires

Rotate and mix tires
While there seems to be mixed opinions about whether to rotate tires, I have not, only because I spaced out and realized I had too much wear at about 6K. Now I have 13K. Font tires already need to be replaced. Original Pirelli 205/45R17's. Seems really bad, but I do drive the San Fancisco streets hard.
Not particularly pleased with traction off the line (literally, spinning on crosswalk paint stripes),etc. Thinking of changing brand for wear and traction. Any suggestions?
How about mixing brands? Keeping the perfectly fine Pirellis on the rear? Or do I need to swap them all out?

I haven't read this whole thread to see how much the tires affected the wreck. If your thinking about mixing brands and especially with runflats, you may want to look over this thread. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ighlight=wreck

Consider the cost of replacing two Pirelli runflats vs
the cost of four new non runflat tires in 205/45-17 or 215/45-17.
I think you will find that performance will be better with the new set of non runflats.
