JCW Suspension questions.. Can I choose which springs?

Can you choose which springs to use when you get a JCW suspension kit from the dealer?
I'm trying to see if i could get the spring set for a lighter equipped car so I'll have more drop..

Doubtful. The springs are specific to your VIN (Not meaning specifically for that car) but in that they know what the car weighed when sold. The springs DO have separate part numbers but I would imagine its a liability thing in that the kit has the wrong springs for the shocks (or whatever).

i just had the kit installed and it is AWESOME. cornering is tighter, bumps are smoother (i was surprised by this) and the nose is planted at hiway speed. go for it!

as for the springs - they indeed are ordered as per your car's spec (sunroof or non) and you have no say in the matter. but no worries - you'll love it.

cheers - drew

thanks.. I like the idea of keeping the warranty but want at least an inch drop.

P.S. I noticed I posted on the wrong forum .

When I bought my car my dealer gave me the option to choose. I asked for whatever factory spec was for the front, and the stiffest possible in the rear. Ended up that factory spec for my car was full stiff in front AND back, so it was a moot point.
