i had the pirelli eufori@ runflats for about 16,000 miles before they were toast--rotating them three times. granted, my style of driving probably does not help. when my fronts were bald on the outside, i replaced them with toyo proxes 4 all seasons--much better ride quality, better overall steering feel and responsiveness...

I have about 15,400 miles on my Goodyear runflats. They do not seem to be showing any other than normal wear, and I have driven the Dragon on two separate occasions [Oct., '04, and May, '05], since they were rotated last July. I do NOT like the ride, as it is harsh, but I DO appreciate the convenience of not needing a spare, especially during long trips. I bought a decent set of Dunlop 5000 DSSTs cheap off eBay, and plan to use them as replacements as my present set starts wearing out.

Run-flat life

I have 71,000 plus miles on my 02 MCS (D&R customer btw). I replaced the OEM tires at 36,000 miles, with the Dunlop. I am now in the process of replacing this set. My front tires are badly worn - I have had this set rotated 2-3 times - should have done more. So - to answer your question - I say I get about 35,000 miles on the runflats. Over that, the wear is so bad that I hydroplane on wet roads. I do lots of driving in SW Indiana - curvy and drive FAST. As for "smoothness" - uhh, one of Mini's first advertising campaigns was "the world's first street legal go-kart". I have 16" tires, travel in remote areas where it would be greatly difficult to find a regular tire in that size, let alone a runflat. I am going with the Goodyear tire this time.
