R53 Needs New Shoes

Hey friends...brand new to NAM, reaching out to the community for new tire considerations on my 2006 JCW. I've had Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4s last couple cycles but I'm wondering if there are some new brands/models to consider since it's been a minute. This is my daily and I don't track the car, but I sure do enjoy spirited driving...thoughts?

Pilot AS 4S? - The All Season, or the Summer only? I got one of the last sets of Pilot 4S Summer only. There was a thread just a few days ago about this. I run 215/45/17, and have used the best Michelin Summer rubber since 2006 ( Runflats left the chat ).

Continental make a good Summer, and I have been looking at Sumitomo HTRZ5 in other sizes for a e39 application - but they get good reviews.
I will say that it's hard to beat Michelin, except for $.

New consideration: Kumho Ecsta Sport (205/45R17) which have been recommended by a high performance shop in my neck of the woods...any thoughts or experiences with those?
