hello all, have a question regarding the new tire size fit i’m looking into getting my 2016 mini countryman s /jcw. The slash jcw is because I bought it used and the orginal owner ordered it from factory with certain jcw mods.
Right now my mini was 225/40/r19 run flats. First the ride is a bit to hard so i’m not gettin run flats, secondly i’m looking for wider tires just for better handling . So im looking into some 245/40/19 or 245/45/19.

My question is will the larger width size work for my mini? Worried about possible rubbing going on with the wider size.

 

If you think you have a harsh ride, going wider isn't going to do anything for you. Step down to an 18" wheel, and go with a 225/45 or a 225/50-18 tire.
