Dunlop Runflats on 2003 MCS

Hi

I noticed yesterday when I got in my 2003 MINI Cooper S, Tiki, that the right front had a nail in my Dunlop runflat. I haven't gotten a low pressure alert, and I checked air pressure and it is normal. When I pull this out is it likely to loose air then? If it does loose air pressure, who should I take it to to get it fixed. I live 3 hours from the dealer. So that is not a good option. Can a regular tire store fix a runflat?

thanks for the help and advice!

runflat repair

Do not pull the nail out of your tire. Let the tire people do it. You will need a certified runflat repair shop to do the work. Call around & find the repair shop that is certified. Try a Firestone/Bridgestone or Goodyear store. Good luck!!!

Thanks guys. We have a BMW/Lexus/Porsche dealer that is part of the Reliable chain (unfortunately) they don't do MINIs, but if the other lower end Suburu/ Mazda store is qualified as the link that Alex sent showed, I would bet they could do it too. I will call them and see.

I won't pull the nail out although when I saw it I was overcome with the urge to pull it out. How dare it get in my tires!

Anyone else with any thoughts?

Got lucky the screw was only about 3/8" long so when they removed it there was no problem.

thanks
