This is a long shot... Has anyone tried to put genuine Mini center caps in BBS RGR wheels? The Mini caps are 56.4mm and the BBS are 56mm so I don't think that aspect of fitment will be a problem. What I'm not sure about is if the Mini caps will attach properly to the BBS wheels. Will the clips engage properly? Thanks.

You could get just the wheel cap decals, if they will fit the BBS caps….

 

Thanks for the reply, Nik. It appears that Mini doesn't make just the stickers in the Gen 3 size. The Gen 3 center caps are a couple of mm larger than Gens 1 and 2 (which are the same). Gens 1 and 2 are ~ 54 mm while Gen 3 is 56.4mm. I think the Gen 1 sticker won't completely cover the BBS cap which won't look right.

The BBS wheels I'm putting on my R53 have a 56mm center cap so I can't use the center caps I already have. The caps that came with the wheels are black with gold - just not my thing. I'm pretty sure that the 56.4mm Gen 3 caps will fit since they are only 0.4mm larger (only about 1/64") than the BBS caps. What I'm unsure of is whether the Mini caps will attach properly to the BBS wheels.

Thanks again. I looked online at stickers but then fate intervened. I picked up some Gen 3 center caps in the marketplace. If they don't work, I'll sell them and look again at the aftermarket stickers.

 

Updating with the answer to my question: the Gen 3 center caps do fit the BBS wheels for Gen 1 and Gen 2 cars. The size is off by a fraction of a mm so it is very slightly snug but no problem.

 

Found that also with the team dynamic wheels and the Gen 3 MINI JCW and MINI Spinners. Nice Find!!
