JCW brake kit coming soon!

The official John Cooper Works (JCW) Sport Brake Kit should be available soon here in the USA according to Gabe at Motoringfile. I predict a $1,000 + price and they should fit nicely behind all factory Mini alloy wheels without modification. Bring it on BMW!

Not that I know, or that I can really see, but it still looks like a single piston BMW caliper with a fancy paint job. Anyone know what makes this a $1000+ setup?

I was waiting patiently for the JCW brakes but the cost and specs are not a value. This post, number 54, on Mini2 puts it all in perspective:
Bad News :(
I received an answer from JCW :

"the JCW brake kit consists of
larger front discs, larger single pot sliding calliper bigger front pads, and higher temp rear pads, increasing braking
efficiency by 12%."

Only 1-pot calliper
The search begins anew.
