Saw these in a local junkyard, I believe the car was marked as a 2007, but I’d prefer not to rely on that.

They’ve been slopped with red paint.

Are these the upgrade for my 03R53 or my 04R50? Both are on 17” wheels.

I realize they’d need a good cleaning and adapting front brake lines. Yes, rotors, too.

No, those have the retaining clip/wire which were on regular 1st gen calipers. If the car was tagged correctly as an ‘07 it should have been a Cabrio.

For the poor man’s conversion you need 2nd gen calipers from an S. If not, you won’t have the larger 294mm rotors.

If any brake parts are listed as 2007 or 2008, you have to make sure they aren’t from a 1st gen R52 or R52S. Not sure about Countryman calipers, but the others probably are fine. I used Clubman S calipers for my conversion. To be sure if they’ll fit you should cross check the part numbers to between the 2nd gen models to expand the pool you can search from.
