215/35/18 vs 215/40/18 What looks the best?

Hello everyone I just got my set of 18x7.5 enkai ev5 wheels for my R55 Clubman, I've been having a hard time on picking what size tire wall I want to put on them. I want to try and keep the stock stock suspension and at this point I just want what will look best, I like the look of 215/35/18 but I can only find photos of people with the car lowered so I just want to know if the wheel gap will look kind of weird. Thanks to anyone that can help.

I would go with 215/40-18 for tires, especially with stock suspension. I would only consider 215/35 if you don’t care about your rims or kidneys.

I think Nik's gives good advice... Punched it into a tire size comparison tool (I am shopping similarly lol)... the 215-40-18 has sidewall height not too far off from the stock 205-45-17 so should ride quite well, but the 215-35-18 will have quite a bit less sidewall and would expect if equivalent tire model would be harsher.

Then again, the Clubbie is famously the most comfortable R5x variant?

Whatever you go with, looking forward to seeing the EV5's on your Clubbie! Post pics when you fit them!

I was able to get them on today guys, thanks for the advice. (Ignore the single stripe it started to rain so I couldn't take the other one off lol.) Got the Yokohama advan sport a/s+ in 215/40/r18. Going from 195/55/r16 it's crazy how much more planted the car feels, wider wheels are something I couldn't recommend more.

The photo above is how the rear was sitting when I had the stock wheels and tires in the back not how it really is, I just thought it looked cool

Looks great... the Clubman pull offs 18" wheels very nicely. Stance looks good, too!

ps. When you get a chance - post a side profile pic, also!
