Thought you all would like to know!

After a bunch of eMails back and forth with BMW and Mini.Assistance, the later came through with the info that the new 17" Web-spokes weigh 22.31 lbs. per wheel.

 

Lighter than the R90s and S-lites, but WHOA still waaayyy too heavy. V-spokes rule (OEM-wise, that is.) Jimbo

 

WOW... might as well tie a boat anchor to each axle...

 

Thanks for the info. Now you just have to put on a tire that weighs 7.69 pounds to make it an even 30 like my 15" race wheels for the most performance and smiles.

Since most 17" tires are gonna weigh about 22+ pounds you'd be getting in the range of 45+ pounds per wheel/tire combo. Enough to give you a hernia or throw out your back.

The heavy rim does give some measure of durability when striking potholes but with the runflat tire even the rim can get damaged so be careful out there. This rims are not indestructible despite the heavy weight.
