Hi Dan,

I know that tire rack only sells the bbs rk wheels for the mini, but I was just looking at moss mini's catalog and website and they are selling the rx,rz, and rw rims for the mini. And the rims in the picture are 5 lug rims. I remember you telling me that the reason why there is only the rk's for the mini is because of the bolt pattern. I'd love to have the RX's but I'm not about to fork over $1300 to then figure out the wont fit. And advice would be greatly appreciated. The stats for the RX's were 17x7.5 w/a 35mm offset if that helps. Thanks

Hmmm....

I don't know if the RX is available in a 4x100 bolt pattern, but I can tell you that with an ET35 offset and a 7.5" inch rim, you're looking at a rim that sticks out almost 1" more than the stock 7", ET50 offset rim, which, in my opinion, is bordering on too much.

You'll note that most of the rims that the Tire Rack sells for the MINI are in the ET40 and above offset range. They have a couple at ET37, but they're only 7" wide.

hey lanny thanks for the input, it's really strange that a company of moss's size could make a mistake like that (assuming that the wheels would not fit a mini) here is the link to the wheels on thier site incase anyone want's to see what I am talking about. BBS RX Wheel on Mossmini.com

Well, some will argue that it's not really a "mistake", because they will fit. And some people like the wheels sticking out past the arches. It also could help with handling...

I would be worried about the added stress that it might place on the bearings, and it might mess with your steering as well.

Here's a pic I found of 17" RZs; these are listed as 7" wide with a 37 offset, so figure another 1/3" for the RX...

The RZ is a nice looking wheel, though, and I also love the RX...
