Tires for '13 Roadster S?
Tires for '13 Roadster S?
Sorry for the cross post, but I forgot about this topic.
Needing new tires soon. 17" wheels. Done some research already, think I've narrowed it down to 3 possibilities. Note that I'm less interested in "performance" than longevity, quality, price, and gas mileage. It's an everyday driver, not a track car.
1. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3
2. Sumitomo A/S P02
3. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+
My mechanic recommended #1, as have others here. #2 appeals because of price (at least on TireRack).
And after some more research (including discussions here) I'm adding the Michelin Premier A/S to the list, probably slotting in between 1 & 2.

I'm seeing the Sport A/S 3 (H/V) for $123, the A/S 3+ (H/V) for $123, and the A/S 3+ (W/Y) for $138 on TR. The (W/Y) is getting stellar reviews, but not much yet for the (H/V).
My mechanic said he could beat TR's price on the A/S 3. I'll check with him about the A/S 3+.
