Silver wheel paint

Can someone please recommend a paint that would give me a glossy silver finish? Just a bright silver like on the lip of this wheel. Not chrome or glittery metallic.

I have these exact same wheels on my MCS. I curbed it and I want to fix it using the Bondo method. I want to keep the same color and finish.

Unless the wheel finish is painted where you want to repair it you won't be able to color match it well.

From your picture it seems the finish on that wheel is all polished aluminum.

If so, you can try to sand the damage flat then polish it.

I hadn't thought of that. Thanks!

good video ... a few comments

if you don't want to DIY check your yellow pages for a wheel repair guy .... often they run around with their shop in a trailer and can do this for you at home or work

note that the sanding I see in the video is all WET .... that is the way I'd do it too

I'd use masking tape liberally around the tire and parts of the wheel you don't want to touch .... just in case!

Got a Dremel????? Judicious use of a sanding disk followed by a buffer wheel can make this an even easier job

This works for fairly light curbing .... if you really GOUGED the wheels, you'll have trouble rectifying things this way. And on a polished rim, bondo is a poor solution. EASTWOOD has a 'paint on chrome' but is is $$ and I do not believe it would work well in this application. I'd refer back to those guys who do this regularly and maybe from a trailer . . .

If you end up having to use a paint product, do the same to the other three wheels.
