Value of 17" 5 Star Run Flats

Ok...In an earlier post I said I wasn't interested in the 17's. I want the 16's.

I'm optioned up though to where the 17's would not cost anything extra

Do the stock Cooper S Sport Pack 17" RF's have any value ---meaning that if I got the 17's are these an item that anybody would be interested in buying - I'd then buy the 16's and pocket a little difference.

If not... then that's cool - I'll just order ala carte and skip the 17's.

Ive seen people sell and buy in the Marketplace forum, so yes, I think

you will probably find people that would want them (for cheap).

Khodabear,
I'm confused by your thread title. 17" runflats for the MCS are S-lytes and 16" runflats are X-lytes. For the MC the 16" runflats are 5 spoke in design.

If you had 17" S-lytes in White that might have a bit more demand for those owners looking for nice white wheels for which there are fewer wheels to choose from.

The easiest is to skip the 17" and just get the 16" stock wheels but if you are going to order all or nearly all of the sport package anyway then an option is to sell the new 17" wheels and buy aftermarket 16" or 17" wheels and non runflat tires.

Decision made

Thanks for the input...

I spec'd 16" with all season RF's (well...RF's are the only choice).

I do not know wheels by name...but the style is shown in the '04 Accessories catalog as style R84...I believe a standard Cooper S wheel.

The car spec is done so I won't be posting these goofy questions any more..now I'll be haunting the threads where those waiting for Nirvana congregate to discuss which vessel their car is on
