Motegi Wheels and offset

Hey all,

Looking at getting a set of FF5 in white for the MCS. They come in a 42 offset. Will I have any problems/rubbing issues if I'm using stock size tires. I will not be lowering the car any, as we have very large potholes here and could swallow the MCS without much effort

Thoughts and comments?

Travis

With stock tires and stock suspension your +42mm offset is fine and will not rub.

White wheels are hard to keep clean, often owners will switch to brake pads and give off less brake dust. Consider Mintex Redbox for about $36+ per pair or EBC green pads for double that.

I know about keeping white wheels clean...it is a pain in the **** but they look soooo cool when they are clean. I used to work for a place called Super Shops back in the day and could rattle off sizes, offsets etc etc...sigh...old age I guess. Now, the stock size tires fit fine, can I go up in isze to an 18 and nto have any rub issues? Motegi makes a 18x7.5 in a +45 offset. Isn't stock +45?

Yes, you can go with an 18" wheel and use 215/35 series tires with no rubbing. +45mm offset is fine. 18x7.5" is fine.

It's a little heavier rim and stiffer sidewall tire but not too bad. The 18" rims and tires do cost more but have a nice look to them.
