205 55 16 & TSW Springs

Since the ride height of a 205 55 16 tire is taller than my stock 195 55 16 tires will this be too tight with TSW springs on a '09 Clubman. Looking to reduce the wheel gap and I need new rubber. Other mods to follow include WMW bump stops / KONI FSD Shocks and TSW 19mm rear sway bar. TIA.

Look at your current tires and see how much clearance you have now if you are already on TSW springs. If the springs are not yet on the car you can ask Way at Waymotorworks if he has seen 205/55-16 tires on TSW springs on a clubman.

Compared to 195/55-16 on OEM rims-

205/55-16 is 5.5mm taller in diameter

Note that tread block design on the new tire's shoulders will affect clearance to the wheel arch plastic. Max Summer tires come with a broad large shoulder block that can be more squared while All Season tires may come with a more rounded shoulder tread design.

Thanks. I've decided to go with the 205 / 50 / 16 Continental ExtremeContact DWS instead.
