That looks like an R82 15x5.5 wheel, +45 offset.

Interesting chat about the front and rear sway (anti roll) bars.

I bought the Eibach front and rear kit and enjoy the current balance of my r56 2007 mcs (on michelin supersports) poly bushes and a quaife ATB.

I was told that whilst only putting the rear sway bar on the car will make it more pointy at the front, it doesn't actually materialise into faster progress as the car is less stable all round.

I guess it will depend on a number of factors including geometry of the car, dampers, springs and so on as it has to come together in a package, just that I wanted to highlight that my current setup by no way is an understeer prone machine.

Best of luck.

Steven

Very cool to know thanks! For right now I'm just going to go with a 22mm Alta rear bar. If the stability of the front end feels compromised I will go and get a front one as well. Poly bushings and end links all around are already a must happen. Along with upper front and rear bars, plates for the mushroom prevention, and cabriolet bars. Oh and the Megan coilovers... but as of yesterday I have a new priority that I was hoping could wait until next year... my clutch started slipping and I haven't started modding yet :/. Next year was going to be engine build and tranny mods (clutch flywheel lsd). But if I need the clutch I may as well do at least the flywheel too

I think it's the back end that becomes prone to lift off oversteer. Sounds fun but not necessarily faster.

I have a helix paddle clutch and one piece lightened alloy flywheel.

Gd luck

What wheels/suspension setup are you running? I was looking at getting some wheels at these same specs as you, but Im on Megan Coils and dropped the car seems like exactly where yours sits. Any rubbing or fitment issues, maybe some pics?

I have BC racing coilovers, lowered about 3-3.5 inches, and the the wheels are konig Wide opens in 15x8 +25 in bronze. The tires are 195/50 so theres is alot of meat left, but still no rubbing.

That looks awesome! Ya I'm sitting maybe just a tiny bit higher than you, but good to know. You think 205's will still be good or clear? Do you have adjustable camber or control arms, or just coilovers and wheels?

With 205s it would most probably rub, i tried on a friends wheels that where the same specs as mine, with 205 tires, and it was really really, close so hitting a bump, would probably pop your arches off, but only if you are as low as my car, shouldnt be a problem, if you arent so low. The coilovers have camber plates up front, and the rear is just the cars natural camber.

I'm not too sure how low I am compared to you. Right now I'm sitting flush on OZ Ultralegerra 16x8 on a 205/50 I think with no rubbing.

Help me understand, is a +20 more ideal, or +25 better? Don't know much about the offset when it comes to wheel/tire combos

Our cars sit fairly similar, the 205 has a straight up side wall, the 195 has a slight stretch, so it would allow for tire to tuck easier with less rubbing The lower the offset will push the wheel further out from the wheel well.

I have camber plates up front as well, used stock top hats for the rear and have factory control arms. But my camber in the back is -2.7 I think from after the coils settled, which I know is a lot so I might be good on clearance you think?
