^ Cool, my stock wheels/tires came in at 42.2 lbs and my current setup with pilot super sports come in at 38 lbs per corner. Almost 17 lbs of unsprung mass and a lot more grip!

If you don't mind my asking; about how much are the Advans per wheel?

Starting prices around ~600. Mine were listed north of 700 but got a damn good deal on them so I couldn't pass it up.

From reading online the 18" rims weigh 8.5kg/18.7lbs so these are considerably lighter and stronger.

tires arrived today, 215/45/17 Michelin PSS, got them from tire rack for 133 each, arrived in 1 day! i love that TR has a warehouse in GA. now to get them mounted and decide on spacers. I dont want them to poke out so not sure if i should go with 15mm in rear and 12mm front or 15mm all around.

That's kind of what i thought. At that cost, for me at least, its going to be wait to see what tire rack gets in over the next few months, or keep saving for CCW or Fikse wheels. $2800 and up for wheels alone is really up there. I have until spring when the winter tires need to come off. And being that I have a JCW, hopefully they will find something that can be done without spacers.

The NM custom drilled option is nice, I just don't really care for their finish options.

I've had them on a few cars now. They are the best all around summer tires IMO. They aren't as grippy as my Dunlop Star Specs, Hankook RS3s, or Toyo R888s but absolutely better tread life and noticeable increase in MPG.

As far as compared to stock runcraps they are fantastic. They are better in every way (except mpg) than stock runflats.

thanks! i have rs3's, ra1's, ps2's, r888's in the past but generally for track duty. Moved over to toyo RR's now... this will be my first set of PSS. i wont get them installed until after xmas as we are driving the mini from Atlanta to west palm beach. no need to put the miles on the new tires. i know the tread life on Michelin's is short, especially how i drive

To your spec isn't good enough? That's what mct did on his Superman MINI.

I think you will be surprised how much life you get out of them. I have over 20k on my Porsche's set and that includes a couple track sessions and driving it like a Porsche should be driven every time I get in it...they aren't even to the wear bars yet. They def last longer than PS2s ever did.

Apparently, I need to give Jerry at NM a call. As you point out, they will come all in my spec with the exception of offset. Also, I hadn't noticed that he did 17's too. Something right up my alley.

Jerry is a GREAT guy to work with. Make sure to check their site out for the VW finishes as well as some finishes are not listed on the MINI side but are available in a custom wheel (like my red 17" wheels were).

If I HAD winter weather I would be in the same boat as you

I was impatient and will probably switch them out for a set of Volk's or something similar. The NM/Neuspeed ones are a solid choice but every other VW has the same set. The design is iconic based off another popular brand so I give it that. They are a great price point, but just not for me.

This is from a August post so as you can see I'm finally doing my due diligence and properly going thru this wheel thread, but I just wanted to say this post by "hemisedan" hits the nail on the head. I am having all kinds of problems finding some wheels that I like in a 18" that will fit on a f56 2016 JCW. Maybe as I continue through this thread I'll be able to find a few options.

Has anyone put the JCW 18 Cross Spoke wheels on their F56? I really love the look of this wheel and would like to put these on mine if I can. If not, the NM RSe12 wheels in black are very nice and I'll opt for those instead.

I have a set that will fit a Cooper or D but will not fit on my JCW. If you are interested pm me. They look amazing on the F56..

Do they just need spacers to clear the brakes? Or will that push them too far out?

I also had Jerry make me some custom wheels for my JCW, I'm really happy with them and Jerry is a really nice guy.

This is cool. I have the same car as you, and have a set of the RSe12's in 18 x 8 that should be delivered shortly. I've gone with the silver color, Now all we need is someone with white silver to order the graphite color wheels and we'll have the full catalog on the site.

This was 18x8 et 32, so you would poke out an additional 3.3mm past the exterior of the fenders and the inner wheel would be 9.3mm closer to the strut. The perfect flush fit (IMHO) is 18x8 et 45. So theoretically it would fit (your setup would have 3.7mm more clearance on the inside), but it would poke past the fenders quite a bit.

This was the same setup on lowering springs:

I'd love to see that too, I know for sure the black RSe12 wheels look great with the WS color but I'd love to see how the gunmetal look.
