Can I run this winter tire? 2004 Coop

Hi all!

This is my 8th winter with my beloved little yellow tank. I have never had the need for snows, but I am not trusting my fellow drivers as much lately as I normally do.

I have a friend who has an almost new set of snows/rims, but I am unsure that they will work. I have been searching the forum, but there is too much for me to go through.

I am running 175/65 R15.

The tires/rims that my friend is offering up are 185/65/ R14. Not sure I want to be an inch closer to the ground in the snow?

Opinions and feedback are greatly appreciated!

Doubt the wheels would even clear your stock front calipers let alone their having a 4x100 bolt pattern with a MINI hub bore.

I've never seen anyone successfully get 14" wheels on a MINI, you're out of luck I'm afraid.

No problem! Good luck, I like discounttiredirect.com and tirerack.com for wheels/tires. Discount Tire has free shipping, too!

14 inch wheels do not clear the front calipers. Tried a set of Miata 14 inch wheels, no go.
