Tire recommendations?

It's time for new tires. I have OEM 17" S-Lite wheels, if that matters. I don't have run-flats now and I don't really want them ever. I do mostly highway driving and I live in Washington so they need to be all weather. For all the rain...
Any recommendations?

I'm running a set of Michelin Pilot AS+ all seasons and love them.

Using your OEM 17x7" wheels

The most common tire sizes are-
205/45-17
215/45-17

Given your driving needs you can select any of the following-

Ultra High Performance All Season tires-
Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS
215/45-17 $130 each, 400 treadwear
Continental ExtremeContact DWS
205/45-17 $121 each, 540 treadwear, Very comfortable ride, light weight
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3
205/45-17 $153 each, 500 treadwear, W speed rated (better value in H speed rated see below)
Kumho Ecsta 4X
205/45-17 $92 each, 420 treadwear, W speed rated, good budget tire

High Performance All Season tires- (slightly less cost)
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3
205/45-17 $141 each, 500 treadwear, V speed rated, low weight
215/45-17 $137 each.
Yokohama AVID ENVigor
205/45-17 $106 each, 560 treadwear, V speed rated

Grand Touring All Season tires- (more ride comfort, longer treadwear)
All in 215/45-17
Michelin Primacy MXM4
$145 each, 500 treadwear, V speed rated, comfortable ride
General Altimax HP
$98 each, 440 treadwear, H speed rated, low weight
Bridgestone Ecopia EP422
$145 each, 480 treadwear, Quiet and high mpg, but soft handling

in general the Ultra High Performance All Season tires give you better handling in dry or wet and are OK in the cold, you get a slightly firmer ride but it's fine for street use and daily driving.

High Performance All Season tires give a little less responsive handling with lower prices and slightly better treadwear ratings.

Grand Touring All Season tires are designed for commuting, they give better comfort but slightly less handling. They are long lasting.

All of these tires can work with your MINI, depends on your budget and if your priority is more ride comfort, longer treadlife or better handling.
