Just switched to Conti ExtremeContact DWS from runflats!! BEST MOD EVER!!

O.M.G.!! I just got back from Discount Tire where Mr Chow swapped his runflats for non runflats (Conti ExtremeContact DWS). WHAT A NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE!! The ride is SO MUCH BETTER!! It's like driving a totally different car. I love it!

They are great tires. Wait until you need them in snow and you will really appreciate them.

I like them. They're not the most grippy tire (compared to the max summer tires I'd usually run), but they are quiet and comfortable. They are warranted to 50,000 miles but I'm projecting mine will wear out a little after 20k miles. Once they wear out I'll see if I can collect on the warranty, and I'll get another set.

Wow only 13,000 miles? I have over 5k on mine so far and they look and feel like new great I mean great wet grip and good in the snow, I went for the twisties on Sunday with 31 MINIs on the Hudson Valley Run and now I appreciate them even more, for not being summer and having a high tread wear they performed fantastic, I wanted to get two sets at first winter and summer but I decided on the DSW as a compromise and if the snow gets too heavy I just use my other car.
How do you claim warranty on a tire for premature wear? I know that for Road hazard you can but I have never done it for wear

Good compromise tire, treadwear to performance. They are a light tire offer less rolling resistance than some performance tires too (so good for unsprung weight and gas mileage). Hope you got the insurance from Discount. The sidewalls seem a little soft to me and i had a screw stuck in the side of my DSW in less than 1K.

I do the winter summer set up. have had my Conti's on two winters. like them as an all season tire.

question: since these are not run flats, what do you guys do in case of flats etc. ? I have driven to VT the past two winters and did not want to make the drive without a spare. so since I never used my rear seat, I removed it and finished the back with carpet and mounted a spare.
