Brake Help Please
My front brakes are toast and my 2009 Clubman S has about 48K on it with the original rotors on it. I'm at about 500 miles past when my wear sensor triggered and I need to get my brakes done soon! No grinding yet, but it's not going to be long...
I was thinking of picking up this StopTech kit and doing front and rear all in one shot. Anyone have experience with this kit or StopTech brakes? It comes with stainless brake lines, too.
I'm not one for track days, but I do some rather spirited driving on some of the country roads.
Thanks for your help!

That kit doesn't seem worth it when you can get all 4 corners in Centric Power Alloy (125 series) rotors and EBC Redstuff pads for under $400 (quite a bit under if you shop very wisely). If you have only 48k, it's unlikely that your hoses will be bad enough that you'd notice much from new stainless ones.

Do I need to replace rotors at 48k, or should I just slap on some EBC Red Stuff pads on the front and see how it goes? I replaced the rear pads about 12k ago....

Yes, probably. You need to mic the rotors just to see if they are at or under minimum spec before passing on new rotors.

So I bit the bullet and ordered some nice stuff -
EBC USR Rotors for front and rear
EBC Red Stuff Pads for front and rear
New pad sensors front and rear
Trying to make sure I had the correct front red stuff pads on order was truly a nightmare! Seems even EBC's tool gave me the wrong part number (it gave me the number for the JCW brakes). I finally searched this forum a bunch and came up with DP31789C for the front and DP31931C for the rear.
I decided to skip the brake lines. I don't really do that much super spirited driving, and I'm not sure they would buy me much.
Hopefully I can limp along on my worn out front brakes for another 10 days or so until everything shows up and I have time to get it all installed!
