New Wheels ... Any advice? ASA vs. Enkei

Hello Mini-nation,

I bought my British Racing Green 07 MCS 6 months ago, and I couldn't be happier with the choice I made. I could have gone with out the 4 trips to the mechanic, but forgive and forget.

As soon I got my hands on the "Green Machine", I've planned getting new wheels at some point. My tax return has arrived and I figure there's no better time than the present.

Problem is, even with the tons of info on the site, it doesn't change the fact that I'm a total noob when it comes to just about everything regarding the car. After a few weeks of research I've somewhat narrowed my list of new wheels down to:

17" Enkei T-Fork wheels

17" ASA AR1's

I have 205/45/17 Continental DWSon there now, and I plan on using those for another year or two (hopefully). I've seen a few people on here with AR1's and they look rather bad ***. Anybody have any experience with the T-Forks? Any preference between the 2 companies? Also can i put those tires on 17x17.5's? Certain offset I should I look for? I'd like to throw a little wider tire on the car when I get a new set, I jsut don't want to wait to get new wheels. The S-Lite's aren't doing it for me.

Thanks for reading guys and gals, any insight shared is greatly appreciated.

They are a little on the heavy side. How much are you looking to spend and Tforks on Tirerack only come in 16x7?

I'm hoping to find something for 700, maybe 8 if I find good deal. I've found other places with the T-forks in 17-7. Might hold out for a good set of used wheels

I prefer the asa AR1s myself they look great. The 205s will fit fine on a 7.5 wheel ive seen alot of 205s on 8 in rims for lowered minis. and as far as offset goes anything in the
45-35 offset range will work fine mine are 35 nd are flush with my arches i belive the asa are 40 offset they will stick out a little more than stock. And do you have run flats?
