Only if you put on a spoiler wing the size of the grand canyon and have a fart can...then you can think teenagers

Yeah, someone needs to start a blackout haters thread, showing all the contrasting beauty of colors.

MinMin2010,

I really like the chin spoiler on your Mini. What make and model is that?

Thanks,

I have a 2004 R53 Mini Cooper S. That chin spoiler is for the R56, guess I'm out of luck.

You are wrong, my MINI freind!
I am running my 2011 with S-lites in the winter, no problem. Proof:

Man, lighten up. People sometimes get incorrect information. You start with, "you are wrong"' then post pics to prove he's wrong, then say "don't believe me? Do a little research before posting misinformation."

We get it. He was wrong and You have the answer. People seldom intentionally post misinformation. Someone he trusts probably told him that they are different. You may not have meant it but your response seemed to me to be over the top to humiliate someone here.

Next time try saying something like, I've been using S-lites on my 2011 so the older wheels do fit."
It's polite and to the point.

Thanks for clarifying Tata Steva - I had a mild panic that I missed some compatibility measure for my new Rota RBs - bought off someone using them on a Gen1, want to put them on my Gen2. As far as I can tell the difference between the Gens is in the lug bolt size (12mm for gen1, 14mm for gen2) so any wheel with a lug bore >14mm that worked on Gen1s is OK for Gen2s (spacers notwithstanding). Am I missing anything?

Hey now! Artistically speaking, isn't black "the presence of all colors" (unlike scientifically white technically being the presence of all colors).

As to Tata Steva; chill.

These forums are for the exchange of information, not an ego boost. You sound like someone who has to be right crossed with the girl from American Pie..

"and then I was in band camp with my Mini and my 1st Gen rims for my 2nd Gen Clubman; and yes, they do fit, causes I said so, nayner, nayner, nayner..." ...

Give it a rest and be polite, eh?

As far as the NM front lip is concerned, yep. There are other options.

I have a set of SPEC-Ds too. They are not HID lights and they do not have a high beam.

They seem to have some other issues, too. THIS thread was pretty discouraging with most people having to modify them to get them to work better... Too bad, too since I think they look pretty good.

Nice! Did you buy the black lug bolts separately?

Those were OEM bolts on my Clubman... Come to think of it, my 2011 has black lugs as well...
I loved these rims... Sad to let them go. At one point considered getting 17" rota RB again, but as I always planned getting BBK JCW calipers on the front gave up on it since these rims require spacers bigger than 5mm... So, I ended up going with (black) R105s in18" for season time, and I just got a set of MINI Challenge rims in 17" for off season. I am putting BBK on the front in the spring, so my 105s will go with 5mmm spacers (I already have them all around, and love the look...).

Nice. I had my eye on the Challenge rims and was just waiting for the runflats to crap out before doing tires and rims. Then a set of black w/ polished rim Rotas were listed on my local club's board and I decided, Why wait? It's Christmas! No plans for a BBK so I think I'll have them for a while.

I have a white roof and bonnet/boot stripes and I think all black rims look too "heavy" with that. The two-tone look has a nice balance for me. They get mounted on Thursday, then pics to follow.
