I have used ROTEX brake pads on previouse cars (Miata and Passat). Their claim to fame is using KEVLAR, so not only are they dust free, but they are bullet proof as well. Does anyone have experience with ROTEX pads on a MINI?

I originally started w/ the orig factory pads....
I've gone thru a set of EBC pads... which reduced the brake dust.
I just had a set of the orig factory pad and new facotry rotors put on my MCS @ approx 34K.... as they are still FREE

D,
Are brake pads and rotors covered under the maintenance package from MINI? I just found out that my inner rear brake pads are worn down to the backing plates and rubbing on the rotors. it is only the inner pad though not the outer one that you can see from looking through the wheel.
Thanks.

Chayse,
You have faulty calipers, they should be replaced under warranty. Inner pads should NEVER wear out that much before the outers. Have the rotors checked for excessive wear as well, everything should be replaceable under warranty-depending on your mileage.

Yea, Called the SA this morning. He said to bring it in. He also said that Rotors and pads are covered under the free maintenance MINI has. I sprung for the extra year too. Taking it in Wednesday. Taking it easy till then.

Thanks.

You were lucky, my dealer refused to replace warped front rotors (at 24K miles) because I installed EBC green pads to reduce dust. I just upgraded to powerslots instead.
