Hi All,

I recently swapped out tires on my '11 Justa from the stock Conti Run Flats to Bridgestone Potenza. I went from 195/55/16 to 205/55/16.

I bought the tires from tirerack and had them mounted at one of their reputable installers.

They were installed yesterday. I was driving around today and the low tire light came on. I checked the PSI and it was at 15! (recommended PSI is 33)

I filled it back up at a gas station, hoping it was a fluke. When I got home 2 hours later, it lost 2 PSI.

My question is, should I contact MINI about the possible air leak or take it back to the tire installer? I'm still covered by the MINI warranty until 2014. I was curious if I had my own tires mounted it would negate the warranty coverage.

Thanks!

e: tires were installed yesterday.

Go back to the installer. Likely a leak in the TPMS, or a bad seal at the bead.

+1
should be a simple fix...they should remount the tire after cleaning the rim to get a good seal, and maybe change a gasket on the valve......

Update for everyone.

Apparently I rolled over a drywall screw without realizing it. It didn't punctured the tread luckily. I don't why but it leaked pretty slow. It was dead center on the tread area, so I didn't catch it right away.

Took it back to my tire installer and had it patched.

Still mad about catching a screw on brand new tires. Suppose it could have been worst.
