Painting Wheels - Balance?

Thinking of painting my wheels. Is doing this going to cause me to have to re-balance the wheel/tire?

I plasti diped my wheels with many, many coats and I had zero problems with balance. I think changing your plastic valve cover for a metal one would mess with the balance more than painting the wheels.

Depends on what is acceptable to you as a paint job. A first class job would require removing the tires, wheel weights and valve stems, so of course you would have to re-balance. If you are just spraying the outer face and don't have any weights there and are OK with masking off the stems, then there would be no need for re-balancing.
