Donut Spare Question
Donut Spare Question
Greetings all, I just placed an order today on a MCS with 17" rims and the salesperson told me that since I wanted 17" rims the donut spare was not an option because the space in the back/boot for a donut spare was too small. Does sound accurate to you all? I wanted to order non run flats on the car but the "no donut spare" caused me to go with run flats. Thanks all for your help and advise.

From what I know you can't order a car with 17's and non run flats.
You can fit a donut spare behind the back seats, we actually sell many of them. I think it's a great idea to have the donut for trips.

16" runflats
17" runflats
and
18" runflats
That's it. No spare from the factory is possible unless you buy a base Cooper.
The spare from Waymotorworks is a great solution and will fit in your boot/trunk area. Just have your tire iron and jack handy and not left behind.
Many owners will use up the stock runflats and replace them with non runflats. You'll need a plan on how to deal with a flat if you don't have a spare in the car.
This outfit lives in the boot and the bag has room for small spray bottles and MF cloths for quick detailing and windshield cleaning while on the road.
