SSR GTX01 17x7 42 offset in their dark silver color - 17.1lbs. Won't be mounted up until after I respray the front of the car, but they look really great. Plenty of room for big brakes as well.
Totaled my 2019 CM and promptly purchased a 23 Mini Cooper S "Iconic" F55 with 17 inch run flats. I'd like to change the wheels/tires to something offering a smoother ride so the obvious solution is to ditch the run flats in favor of 17 inch non run flats.
But... would going to 18 inch with non run flats offer a smoother ride?

Noooo. You want tall sidewalls for smooth ride. Stick with 17 or smaller if that's your goal. I had regular tires on 18s and is was like running on cinder blocks.
Yes - the closer the tire sidewall inches to a rubber band, the ride harshness increases exponentially. Unless you don't have any rough roads or bumps in all your driving ( ie track ) - I'd stay away. 16's are ideal, 17's sacrifice some comfort but have an ascetic appeal and accommodate bbks, 18s sacrifice a lot of ride comfort!
Very nice set-up checkers! I'd like to put white wheels on my '23 Cooper S f55 (blk/chili red) to replicate your look. I can't seem to find caliper covers anywhere... can anyone help?
Hello all.. I'm looking to add non run flats to my car. Ill stick with the OEM wheels (17x7J) but I'm wondering if I can bump up to a wider tire to protect the rims (?)
On an unrelated note... does anyone know if MINI ever plans to offer rear mudguards for my car?
