Anyone running 195/60/15?

I just put General Altimax HP's 195/60/15 on the Mini stock 15" wheels. They feel a little squishy but, only drove four miles. If you are running 195/60/15 what PSI are you running? I'd like to try adjusting the PSI first.

PSI is dependent on the tire brand/model, etc. It's not a one size fits all thing. Having the wrong pressure can give you uneven tire wear. Most any tire with an aspect ratio of 60 is going to feel "squishy". There's a lot of sidewall there to flex. You can try upping the pressure. It will help a little bit, but unless you're cornering like mad, you'll most likely get more wear across the middle of the tire than the outsides.

First of all, the General Altimax HP's is a "H" speed rated tire and that will be have soft sidewalls. The car came with "V" performance tires for the go cart feel. Secondly, you should have 205/60VR15 size to compare height to OE. Your speedometer will be closer to true.

The car came with these an "H" rated tire. I was not all that impressed w/ the tread wear on the Continental's <20,000. That and the speedometer is off by -5mph at speed anyway. With all that, I chose the Generals. I'll mess with the PSI a bit and see how it goes. I will say that the Generals are real quiet. Which is a plus in a commuter car.

My winter tires are 195/60/15 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 on oem holies.
They're squishy, but mainly because they're winter tires.
