The title says it all, which tire is quieter and if there is no discernible difference in noise, does one perform better than the other.

Very close in noise. Mxv4 is better in snow. Mxm4 is better in water - those would be your biggest differences.

Is the MXM4 any worse than my current contiprocontacts in snow? If so, would you call the primacy mxm4 below average in snow, or just not at the level of the mxv4?

Thanks for the info Alex!

MXM4 in my opinion would be better than the ProContacts for the winter. MXM4 is ok in snow, the MXV4 is better. It has more siping, offering additional biting edges.

Its hard to find a fault in MXV4, and the surveys show that.

Thanks for the help, I ordered a set of Primacy MXM4 today from Tire rack. I have a set of Primacy MXV4 that are on my X3, but I wanted to understand how the two Primacy tires differed. I'll report back when i get some miles on the new tires. Thanks again!
