Rib spoke question and recommendation

Sorry guys, but another wheel and tire noob here. I have searched up and down these forums but I could not find the weight of the stock 16" rib-spoke that I have. I have tried the other site with their data but they don't have it listedhttp://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?faq=faq_wheels_tyres#faq_faq_factory_wheel s. Since I'm going with an inch bigger should I find a wheel about the same weight or does it really have an effect if the wheel and tire come to be a little heavier?

I have 195/55/R16 continental contiprocontact SSR runflats right now and since discount tire is having it's labor day sale I thought I'd jump on it. I'm thinking about getting 215/45/R17. I calculated it to be a 6mm diameter difference. Anybody who has gone with this bigger size from a 16" is this safe and recommended? I recently read a post that concerned me about going with a plus size.

Also, I'm thinking of Goodyear Eagle Gt's (All season). Yes or no?

Why not answer my own thread? I pulled off my wheel and weighed it to be 44.5 lbs. So with the continental SSR coming in at 23.0lbs, the 16" rib spoke wheels weigh 21.5 lbs a piece. I'd say maybe even a little more with tread wear (6200 miles).

Anyway, questions still stand but now I'm looking at Continental Extreme Contact DWS (19lbs) or BF Goodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S (22lbs) and 17" Konig Backbones, Drag Dr-42's, and Drag Dr-9's (16lbs, 18lbs, and 19lbs respectively).

The OEM 17in tire is a 205/45-R17.
Many have ran a 215/45-R17 with little or no problems on the 2nd-Gen platform.
Plenty of archived threads about it in the R5x subforums; you'll find many like it for the extra tread contact patch.

Good to see another FoCo owner; I was up there for my undergraduate degree from 2001 - 2006.
