Sorry but DRAG wheels are the opposite of expensive in my opinion. You can buy those at Discount Tire for under $100 each rim...

Can you post more pictures of the car with the TE37s? I am strongly considering these right now...

Not expensive

But rare, never see any non GP's around here with them. Also supper light and I love the look also easy to clean the pot.

i just dont think those look like an attractive wheel at all. No offense and too each their own but almost all of the stock MINI wheels are unattractive. Unless they are JCW wheels or a multipiece wheel

So what if they don't cost a whole bunch, they look great and they are a quality wheel for the price. If you want to spend big bucks then that is what you have to do. My new 2012 S has JCW wheels on it, I am sure they would be around $2000 for the set and they again are just wheels with a pattern.

No offense taken as you said to each his own and the compliments I get with my brembo brakes showing through put a smile on my face. I agree most stock rims are rubbish but I would not call GP's stock only 2000 in the U.S on a special order car was hard to find any 1 off's

Those are copies and not real GP wheels. They do look nice on your car though.

Brakes would show through a TE37 or my 5zigens quite well and in my opinion would look much cleaner.

GPs are over rated if you ask me. I would take an R56 JCW over on in a heart beat, and 2000 is a lot made really..

I didn't say there was anything wrong with those wheels. In fact I think they're great for the people who like them. But you're missing the point of the thread. Its for EXPENSIVE wheels. For one your wheels are not expensive, and two, this is not a for sale thread.

Back on topic. TE37 pictures come on!!

You're right, I could have made a list of all expensive wheels on and off the market, then Google searched ''mini cooper [enter expensive wheel name]''.

I was hoping we could have a collection of pictures here rather than all over. Its all for fun.

"Real" LM"s. $780/apiece from Tire Rack in late '09. I've had RG-F's in the past too, a fantastic (and super-light) wheel. If there were 17" fitment available I'd have gone for those. Had RC's on a couple of different cars in the past too, another favorite. Especially loved them on my '04 .:R32.

I have nothing against cheaper wheels - wheels are like almost anything, you get what you pay for. I do however detest when a classic wheel style is blatantly ripped off and reproduced at a fraction of the price (and quality), such as the various LM ripoffs. The automotive equivalent of wearing a $15 Rolex bought from some JAMF on the streets of Manhattan. If you can't afford a Rolex, you buy what you can afford, not the fake. Should be the same way with wheels. No shame in running an original design that is inexpensive.

Our track wheels weren't really expensive, we got them on closeout from TireRack. Their list price is $450 each though. SSR Type-C:

The 17" TE37SL I bought recently from Japan will be here by the end of September. I'll post pics of them mounted on my MINI when they get here

I'm also a big fan of LMs too. I'd have them if I ever switch from my current setup to something more refined.

Here's another BBS Japan beauty: BBS RF (ACQ)

http://www.bbs-japan.co.jp/b_img/pro/rf_dbk_5h_400.jpg

They come in 17x7 +48 though. 15mm spacers ought to be enough to make them stick out like my BBS RG-F in 16x7 +35

All depends on where you're looking... And price range...
There's a good amount of choices that are 17x8 and greater if you can fork over the moderately required funds.
