With new wheels, come new questions...

Hey guys, I got an '06 Cooper S to replace my old Datsun daily driver and now I am starting to get the mod bug pretty bad. I found a set of 17" BBS RC wheels for a decent price which I'll mount soon, but I wanted to get some opinions on tire size first.

The car currently sits at stock ride height, which is of course atrocious. I plan on getting some lowering springs, probably H&R (or whatever you guys recommend for the most drop).

Should I run 40 or 45 profile tires? I am pretty set on 215 width since the RCs are 7.5s only. If I lower the car, I feel like 45s might look a little too meaty, but until I do that 40s will look way too small on stock ride height.

What are your thoughts?

I'd be looking to the 215/45's offering a bit more cushion and protection for your wheels. There isn't a problem with215/40's however
