I would like to replace my RFTs and wonder if there is a market for my slighty used 205/45/17 Bridgestones RE050A . Less than 2k, any idea what I would be a fair asking price?

Awesome on the MINI donut! I bought the rim recently from my local dealer ($42) but haven't got the tire yet. I went ahead and purchased from Detroittuned -- $132 shipped. Well worth it!

will going from 205/45R17s to 215/45R17s on an R53 will mess with the external TPMS? I'm planning to do that in order to get a bit more grip and lower the revs on the highway a little bit (and try and correct the speedometer being 2-3mph fast on the highway), but after reading about the external TPMS, I'm not so sure if it's worth the hassle of potentially making that system scream bloody murder at me every time I drive it

I had run flats on my Vet, hated them, still do on the new ride. Use Ride-on in my bike and it's been great.

ANYONE have experience with it on the Mini? Are the sensors sealed?

Are the sensors sealed?
They are not, there is an air port in the sensor.

THANKS for the reply!

So why doesn't the tire flat kit from BMW or products like Slime fix a flat damage them?

After two weeks on non-RF tires, I just can't believe how much more enjoyable the car is to drive. Night and day.

quite likely the official BMW procedure is to replace the sensor and the tire after using the kit.
