Question:

Guys that are running 215/45/17 tires on 17" rims do you have springs and if so, any rubbing issues?

I thought the superleggra's with 215/45's rub with non OEM springs.

I just got 215/45's and want light 17" wheels. Also plan on springs soon but am afraid of rubbing.

Thanks

Mark,
The OZ Superleggeras have an offset that is about 38 mm. The Team Dynamics are 45,so there should be no rubbing, lowered or stock, using the 215/45/17 tires.

Look at using the Pro Race 1's in Anthracite (gray) or the Pro Comps (same color) if you're looking for a match to the OZ wheels...or white

Go to http://www.teamdynamicsusa.com to see their line. Outmotoring and Randyh Webb motorsports sells them.

The Pro Race 1 has 12 spokes and is about 2 lbs lighter than the Pro Comp which has 15 spokes...same as the Monza line, but with an open center hub.

I'm ordering a set of the 17 inch Pro Comps in Anthracite for 215/45/17 Bridgestone Pole Position S-03's for a LY/LY 2004 MCS with Aero Kit.

Thanks much, this is the info I am looking for. I really love the Superleggra but I don't think they will fit without rubbing once I change the springs.

Note than some people are claiming better clearance _after_ lowering their cars. Unfortunately, I'm unable to quote or link a reference. If you already have the OZ wheels (which is unclear in your posts), why not wait until you lower to car to see. Spending a few day with an occasionally rubbing tire is not a problem. All the wheel/tire shops can deliver within 3 days in the US so that would be the longest you'd have to wait if there were an issue.
