Maybe I should have posted this in the Tire/Wheel forum, but I'm just curious if anyone had bought take-off wheels and tires from their dealership. If so, were they discounted any? Thanks for your help.

I have seen dealers discounting take offs from time to time so keep an eye out as you might find a deal that way. Alternatively be sure to frequent the Marketplace forum here as there are a lot of new private party take offs that are being sold.

Also - moving to Tire and Wheel forum.

Generally at my dealership there are often swaps of the stock wheels in colors and sizes but little for aftermarket wheels added at the time of purchase and done through the dealership. If there are extra wheels then the owner takes them home and sells them later.

Sometimes the dealer will have a extra set of stock wheels and will chrome them and add them to another MINI as an add on but at a much higher price like $2000-2500 more. The chromed wheels replace the stock wheels.

Just check with your MINI dealership and let them know if you are interested in takeoffs. Or hang around to get the names of people that might have extra wheels for sale. If you have a local MINI club that would be a good source too.

I have a set of take offs. They are from my 2004 MCS, they are silver S-Lites with the performance run-flat Perilli tires. They have a total of 26 miles on them. I think they are worth about $800 plus shipping if anyone is interested. Tires are still mounted and balanced on the wheels.

Merry Christmas
