I like my Eagle NCT 5 EMTs. They are heavy as hell, therefore I'm probably trading off some acceleration and economy. But they ride fine (I like a little firm) and handle well. Downside is they are rather noisy. THAT is my complaint. But I'd grab another set of takeoffs for a decent price next time around.
