Must replace my Conti Pro Contact 175 65 R15's with 33,000 miles on them. (Should have been replaced them 32,000 miles ago).

Any suggestions for an all-season tire that will see Wisconsin snow are appreciated.

Can I, should I, consider a slightly larger tire: 185 65 15, 185 60 15 or 195 60 15? Unfortunately, different rims are not an option.

175/65/15 is 23.96" diameter
185/65/15 is a bit taller at 24.47" but not too tall
185/60/15 is a little shorter than stock at 23.74"
195/60/15 is a little taller than stock at 24.21"

Any of the above will work on stock 15" rims.

I have 195/60/15 winter tires on 7-holie 15x5.5 rims
and 205/50/15 summer tires on 16x7 aftermarket rims.

They did fine for all the snow we got in NH last winter.

 

A MINI thanks for your responses. I'm trying to locateYokohama Avid ENVigor 195 60 15's and give them a try. Had put the brand on our CRV before a bambi took a $12,000 nose dive into us. The kayak tow straps saved our lives.
The Avid ENVigors were a serious upgrade to Honda's OEM's. I'm hoping the same for the MINI. Again, thanx.
