noob - rims question

Noob here to the forum!

i am getting my 17" rims painted red to match my red clubman s 2010. I have a couple of very amateur and basic questions about rims, so dont laugh at me

(1) the process will take 2-6 days...should i expect to leave my vehicle there (its a bit inconvenient!)
(2) am i able to remove the rims my self and bring them to the shop? how do i do this without damaging them (and put them back on)?
(3) am i able to drive around with no rims while they are being worked on? what is the danger?

Many thanks for your time and advice!
Bill

OK, presuming that by "rims" you mean your factory alloy wheels, here's the little bit I can answer.

First, unless you have a set of spare wheels to put on the car while your 17's are being painted, no, you will not be able to drive your car. Having no wheels on the car pretty much negates any driving.

Second, yes, you can remove the wheels yourself, but once again, unless you have spares to put on, how are you going to get them to the paint
shop?

Which leads to the answer to your first question...yes, you'll probably have to leave the car there, unless you have that spare set of wheels to make the car drivable.

Hope that helps.
