Hey everyone,

I apologize if this has been answered before but I was unable to find it here. I am wondering if the R91 wheels from a 2006 JCW will fit and/or need anything extra to work right on my second gen R56 regular Cooper. Also, if the wheels come with TPMS will the previous gen sensors work with my second gen system?

Thanks for your help! I would love to get some new wheels and replace these 15's.

I don't know if they will fit, but the tire preasure monitor systems are totally different....
The r53 counted rpm's of the tire in relation to the others to determin/calculate if the tire was going flat (based upon realitive rpm), while the 2nd gen cars used a preasure sensor that is mounted to the rim at the valve steam location, and used RF to communicate with car...
The dealer should be able to provide you with info if the rims are retrofittable, and if they will fit on your car. I suspect if they fit on a JCW gen1 with big brakes, that they will fit...best way to be sure, test fit them!!

Yes the R91's will fit on your car.
Either transfer the TPMS sending units from your stock 15 inch wheels or purchase a new set.

Hope this helps...
