I'm going to rewolace the 17Slites with Steelies and Blizzacks.

Can I jack up the front end so as to have two tires off ground?

If so, where is a good place to position jack. Using a floor jack.

Same question for rear

Thanks

Jack it from the side using the jack point (small block) just behind the front wheel opening. It's real easy to get both wheels in the air. Be carefull that the block is seated well, there is a small pin that holds it in place and one unlucky MINI owner ended up with the block breaking free and having his car damaged.

i use the factory jack on front, and a regular hydraulic jack in the back and
do one side at a time. very quick.
