Glad you weren't hurt.

As a fellow '09 convertible owner, just wait until spring hits and you drop the top and listen to the MINI purr and all will be good agaiin. Good luck on the repairs.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the support. My dealership was awesome and I'm now on the road again and loving my MINI!

Sorry to hear about this. I had a similar experience on a road trip, but I thought it was a wheel bearing dying. Luckily I pulled over and waited for the tow truck to bring a jack so I could determine for sure what was going on. Wound up being loose lugs. We wound up attributing it to an attempted theft (I have locking lug nuts) since I made sure to check the tq before we started the trip. Perhaps you had a similar call?
