TPMS '07 vs '04
TPMS '07 vs '04
I own a set of 16in V-spokes from the '02-'06 gen and I'm looking to put a dedicated set of winter snow tires on them.
My question is, since I want to use them on my '07 Cooper S, do I need to have the metal TMPS stem vs the rubber stem currently on the rims? I don't want the TMPS warning light on all the time as I'll already be a little nervous running a non run-flat winter tire. Any comments appreciated. Cheers.

the system changed in the fall of 07. My Aug build was bought of the lot and still has the 'old' system with no wheel sensors. But the shipment my car came in had some of both on the truck . . . (I'd put down money while it was en route)
So it depends on what your 07 has . . .
