Clubman suspsension cause wheel fit issue?

Hi MINIacs:

I have a 08 Clubman. I bought a set of used 15" wheels and winter tires for the upcoming season. Based on all I read on NAM prior, these wheels should fit. The key everyone mentions is clearing the front rotors. I put one side of the wheels on today and the fronts are not an issue, but the rear rubs on the lower suspension on the inside edge of the wheel, so won't fit. This was surprising to me. The wheels are a MINI knock off supposedly from the Tire Rack and were used on a 04 or 05 MCS. I put them on my 02 MCS and they fit. Is there anything written about 15" wheels not fitting a R55?

Thanks!

Jim

What part of the suspension is it hitting? The trailing arm, strut, or lower bolt?

15's fit the clubman non-s...but it's not an all-inclusive statement. There are tons of other variables including offset, inner barrel shape, and width.

it's the bottom of the strut mount piece that hits the wheel.
